Job summary

Learn Academy, formerly Beach Cities Learning, seeks a Behavior Interventionist to support students with special needs in a FACSS classroom using ABA therapy. You will provide direct instructional support, collect progress data, and assist with social-emotional and life-skill development in a structured school setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–2 years’ experience with children with moderate to severe disabilities.
• Experience with toileting and working in a special needs setting is preferred.
• Ability to collaborate and take feedback from peers and supervisors.

Responsibilities

• Work with students in a FACSS classroom using ABA therapy to provide direct instructional support.
• Provide structured support in social-emotional, adaptive, life skills, and social-skill development.
• Collect data on student progress as directed by teaching and clinical teams.
• Reinforce academic behaviors and provide practice opportunities.
• Assist students in community, school, and leisure activities under supervision.
• Follow district-approved techniques for verbal de-escalation and safe physical restraint.
