Job summary

Credence is seeking an Ab Initio Architect and SME to guide the modernization of a DoD data platform. You will architect ETL solutions, write scalable Ab Initio code, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet government requirements.

The role focuses on migration from legacy systems to Ab Initio, ensuring secure, efficient data processing and compliant delivery across cloud and on-prem environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 10+ years of enterprise data integration experience with Ab Initio and related tools.
• 7+ years in data integration architecture and ETL development with at least 5 years on Ab Initio.
• Proven track record leading modernization efforts for federal government or large-scale data platforms.
• Strong understanding of data modeling, ETL processes, and integration strategies.
• Experience with Ab Initio suite (GDE, Co-Operating System, EME) and data governance.
• Cloud-based Ab Initio platforms and AWS/Azure integration experience.
• Familiarity with agile development and DoD security/compliance requirements.
• Active or eligible for security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop high-level conceptual data process designs for migration to Ab Initio.
• Write ETL code for data extraction, transformation, and loading.
• Lead end-to-end ETL workflows to optimize data flow and performance.
• Gather requirements and draft System/Functional Requirement Documents.
• Analyze legacy workflows and propose performance improvements.
• Design, implement, and document ETL processes for data modernization.
• Perform testing and ensure code auditability and maintainability.
• Participate in peer reviews and ensure compliance with SDLC and ETL standards.
• Design automated job schedules and improve ETL automation.
• Provide on-call support and monitor data integration jobs for stability.
• Ensure DoD security and compliance standards are met.
