Job summary

Credence is seeking an Ab Initio Architect and SME to support the modernization of an Army system using the Ab Initio platform. The role is based in Credence’s Tyson’s Corner, McLean, VA or Dayton, OH offices with onboarding planned for September 2026.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in data integration, deep Ab Initio expertise, and a track record delivering federal-scale projects. You will design ETL workflows, optimize performance, and ensure compliance with DoD standards.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in enterprise data integration with Ab Initio and related tools.
• 7+ years in data integration architecture and ETL development, 5+ years with Ab Initio.
• Proven track record leading modernization efforts for federal systems or large data platforms.
• Strong knowledge of system architecture, data modeling, ETL, and integration strategies.
• Experience in designing data workflows, pipelines, and transformation logic.
• Experience with Ab Initio, Unix Shell Scripting, Oracle SQL, and Control-M.
• Security clearance eligibility; DoD security standards (FISMA/NIST) familiarity.

Responsibilities

• Develop and document high-level data process designs for migration to Ab Initio.
• Lead end-to-end ETL workflows and optimize data flow and performance.
• Gather requirements with analysts and stakeholders; draft System/Functional Requirements.
• Analyze legacy workflows and propose performance improvements within Ab Initio.
• Design and implement ETL processes; document and test code; prepare handover artifacts.
• Participate in peer reviews; ensure adherence to coding standards and SDLC.
• Design automated job schedules; enhance ETL automation and scheduling.
• Ensure security/compliance with DoD requirements (FISMA/NIST).
• Provide on-call support and monitor data integration jobs for stability.
