Job summary

AAA Mountain West Group in Phoenix, AZ is seeking tow operators to join our roadside support team. You will safely operate tow trucks, perform basic diagnostics, provide tire changes, fuel delivery and lockout assistance while remaining calm under pressure.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid driver’s license with a safe driving record
• Willingness to work the 11am–Midnight schedule, including weekends
• Customer-first mindset and ability to stay calm under pressure

Responsibilities

• Operating tow trucks safely and efficiently.
• Performing simple vehicle diagnostics to figure out the issue.
• Providing essential roadside assistance, including tire changes, fuel delivery, and vehicle lock-outs.
• Building trust, problem-solving, and being a calming presence for our members on the scene.
• Clear and proficient verbal and written communication even under pressure.
• Common knowledge of vehicle components and the common reasons for vehicle failure.
• Demonstrates problem solving and listening skills to evaluate member safety as well as the ability to discern safety issues and respond appropriately.
• Ability to drive a manual/automatic shift vehicle.

Summary

Location: PHOENIX, AZ
Schedule: Start times range from 7pm - 11PM and can work up until 4AM - 8AM (Includes Weekends)

Work Environment/Physical Requirements

• Works outdoors at vehicle sites when servicing vehicles. Lifting and carrying tires and parts, weighing up to 50 pounds, several times a day; bending, kneeling and stooping as required for service calls. Works in all weather and all traffic conditions. Vehicle recovery sites may be wet, messy and hazardous.
• Service Providers are required to provide a photograph for identification purposes.
