Job summary

Airbus Americas, Inc. in Mobile, Alabama, is seeking a Flight Line Quality Inspector to lead quality activities from handover through flight test and delivery.

The role ensures system integrity and conformity to design specifications by verifying functional tests and approving the aircraft for production flight testing. The candidate will work with FAL/flight line teams and suppliers, holding an FAA A&P or AME M2 license and several years of aviation experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5 years of relevant aviation experience, including some flight line experience.
• FAA A&P or TCCA Aircraft Maintenance Engineer (AME) M2 license required.
• Previous experience in a mechanic or technician role is highly desirable.
• Airline experience is desirable.
• Knowledge of Quality Management Systems.
• Knowledge of drawing systems, inspection plans, and inspection coordination.
• Knowledge of the principles, practices, methods and tools used in the production line.
• Experience in Troubleshooting of Avionics/Airframe/Powerplant Systems.

Responsibilities

• Release the aircraft for all ground and flight operations.
• Evaluate test results and document in the Technical Log Book.
• Support and perform troubleshooting on aircraft systems.
• Ensure Aircraft Airworthiness and Conformity as a Quality Inspector with final signature authorization.
• Make required logbook entries and Airworthiness Directives status report.
