Job summary

Hyundai Motor America seeks an experienced master certified technician in Lumberton, NC to diagnose and repair automotive systems with minimal supervision. You will lead others in the shop and may mentor junior technicians while interfacing with customers when needed.

You will join a state-of-the-art facility with modern bays and may be eligible for a sign-on bonus as you contribute to high-quality service and customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• 4–7 years of automotive repair experience.

Responsibilities

• Initiate automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests.
• Verify warranty and service contract coverage; develop estimates; write repair orders; maintain customer records.
• Serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensure customer needs are understood.

Hyundai Technical Training Equivalency Assessment Program

Hyundai welcomes experienced technicians from other OEMs. The program allows technicians with training from an industry-recognized source, other than Hyundai, to test out of certain Hyundai instructor-led technical training courses, provided they meet certain requirements.

As a service consultant you will be responsible for initiating automotive services and repairs by ascertaining vehicle performance problems and service requests; verifying warranty and service contract coverage; developing estimates; writing repair orders; maintaining customer records. You will serve as the communicator and liaison between the customer and technician; ensuring the customer\'s needs are understood by the technician and the needed and recommended service/repairs are understood by the customer.
