Job summary

Moog in Niagara Falls, NY is seeking an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician III on a 1st shift, onsite basis. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager in the Space and Defense Group.

The role requires a High School diploma or GED (preferred) or equivalent abilities, and at least 3 years of relevant experience. Responsibilities include harnessing, testing, reading drawings, and maintaining NASA/J-STD certifications. Moog offers a comprehensive benefits package and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to understand and apply verbal, written and computer work instructions in English.
• Demonstrated ability to perform simple arithmetic operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform harnessing, crimping, soldering while maintaining NASA and J-STD certification.
• Perform pressure testing, leak checks, electrical testing, and flushing/cleanliness checks.
• Use portable instruments to troubleshoot and repair.
• Operate gauges, flow meters, mechanical measuring equipment, torque wrenches, etc.
• Read mechanical drawings and work to controlled documentation.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical and electronic component/circuits fabrication and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of handling electricity, chemicals, gases and cryogenic fluids.
• General knowledge of test equipment operation, maintenance and calibration.
• Work in a shop and laboratory environment.
• Occasionally lift/move up to 50 pounds.
• May require PPE.
• This position requires full physical including bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.

Location and Schedule

Onsite - Niagara Falls, NY Our team in Space and Defense Group is looking for an Assembly & Test (A&T) Technician III to join them. You will report to the Manufacturing Manager and will have an onsite, 1st shift work schedule in Niagara Falls, New York.

Requirements

High School diploma or GED preferred. Otherwise, demonstrated ability to understand and apply all verbal, written and computer work instructions or training in English, and demonstrated ability to perform simple addition, subtraction, multiplication and division. At least 3 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform harnessing, crimping, soldering while maintaining NASA and J-STD certification.
• Perform pressure testing, leak checks, electrical testing, and flushing/cleanliness checks.
• Use portable instruments to trouble shoot and repair.
• Operate gages, flow meters, mechanical measuring equipment, torque wrenches, etc.
• Read mechanical drawings and work to controlled documentation.
• Knowledge of mechanical/electro-mechanical and electronic component/circuits fabrication and repair techniques.
• Knowledge of the characteristics, properties, uses and safe handling of electricity, chemicals, gases and cryogenic fluids.
• General knowledge of the operation, maintenance, and calibration of test equipment.
• Perform duties in a shop and laboratory environment.
• Occasionally be required to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
• May be exposed to mechanical, electrical, or chemical processes requiring use of protective eyewear and PPE.
• This position requires full physical which includes bloodwork, Pulmonary Function testing, and fit test.

Niagara Falls, NY $30.00-$36.00 Hourly
