Responsibilities

Position Summary: The Inspector/Packer ensures, through visual inspection, that all containers and lids are manufactured and packaged according to Berry Global quality standards and guidelines in a safe and efficient manner.

Responsibilities and Duties:

1. Maintain a safe, clean, and organized work area.
2. Inspect products to ensure quality. Set aside products that do not meet quality standards. Work closely with Leads and alert Molding Technicians and Supervisors of any quality issues or reject conditions. Watch molds for irregularities or sticking. Respond promptly to quality issues.
3. Complete assembly of products by installing gaskets in lids and handles in containers as required, keeping up with production machine cycles.
4. Flame containers and lids when required.
5. Stack and pack products according to instructions that vary with different customers and orders.
6. Prepare proper product identification and packaging labels.
7. Assist with material handling and other tasks as needed.
8. During machine interruptions, perform tasks such as cleaning, sweeping, mopping, making boxes, or other duties assigned by the team leader or supervisor.
9. Accurately complete any required paperwork.
10. Perform miscellaneous duties as assigned.

• Ability to tolerate constant repetition.
• Some workstations may require sitting or standing for long periods.
• Must be able to frequently lift, bend, and reach to perform job functions.
• Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds safely.
• Ability to identify alpha/numeric product codes.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.
