Job Summary

Balance daily settlement, review all direct bill information, answer phones, handle guest problems, and ensure timely invoicing of all direct bill accounts.

Essential Job Functions

This description summarizes primary responsibilities and qualifications. The hotel operates 24/7, so shifts may vary.

  • Invoice all direct bill accounts.
  • Post miscellaneous payments.
  • Review and complete credit verifications for direct bill accounts.
  • Balance credit cards.
  • Maintain organized and accurate direct billing files.
  • Handle customer inquiries regarding billing and provide receipt copies.
  • Research chargebacks, disputes, and partial payments.
  • Assist with month-end inventories.
  • Perform clerical functions related to the role.
  • Follow safety, security, and fire prevention procedures.
  • Report unsafe conditions, accidents, injuries, and property damage.
  • Maintain a neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance.
  • Assist other accounting personnel as needed.
  • Perform any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

Minimum 1 year accounting experience, hotel experience preferred. Knowledge of accounts payable, cashiering, and basic math. Proficient in MS Windows, Word, Excel. Good communication skills, ability to work independently and in a team, and maintain confidentiality. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Physical Demands

Lift up to 20 pounds. Occasional twisting, bending, standing, walking. Mostly sitting. Frequent talking, hearing, seeing, smiling.
