Job summary

Kalitta Turbines in Columbus, Ohio seeks an experienced A&P Mechanic to perform inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, repairs, and maintenance on our aircraft fleet in accordance with FAA regulations and Repair Station Manual.

The role emphasizes safety, accuracy, and teamwork, with opportunities to work overtime as needed and to contribute to a high-standards maintenance culture within a respected aviation environment at LCK.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid FAA Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certificate.
• Valid, unrestricted driver’s license.
• At least three years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Able to read, write and communicate in English for safe job performance and documentation.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States.
• Must pass pre-employment screening including DOT/FAA drug screen and background check.

Responsibilities

• Perform preflight, post-flight, scheduled and unscheduled maintenance checks.
• Inspect, troubleshoot, adjust, service and repair aircraft systems, components, airframes and engines.
• Identify and resolve discrepancies per manuals and procedures.
• Ensure work is inspected by authorized personnel when required.
• Accurately complete maintenance documentation and entries.
• Work in shop, hangar, ramp or outdoor environments following safety practices.
• Report failures or safety concerns promptly.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Complete required training and maintain qualifications.
• Work independently or as part of a crew and adapt to overtime or weekends as needed.
