Job summary

Total Aviation Staffing, LLC seeks a skilled FAA-certified mechanic to perform maintenance on Learjet 60 aircraft. Work includes line and heavy maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs across a national footprint with travel to 34 base cities.

Expect 8-on/6-off rotations or a set schedule for El Paso/Titusville residents, with fully covered travel and potentially stock options. Direct hire, full-time position supporting a premier charter operator.

Qualifications

• FAA Mechanic Certificate with Airframe and Powerplant ratings.
• 6+ years of experience meeting 14 CFR Part 65.83 requirements.
• Experience with Learjet airframes and Pratt & Whitney PW305A engines.
• Strong troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Perform line and heavy maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on Learjet 60 aircraft.
• Complete all work according to manufacturer manuals and FAA-accepted or approved data.
• Follow applicable FARs, company procedures, and the FAA-approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program.
• Read and interpret aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings.
• Move aircraft in the hangar and on the ramp, including tow-tractor operation.
• Join weekly maintenance meetings to review progress with the Director of Maintenance.
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area.

Pay: $60/hr starting, $70/hr for experienced leads (+$5/hr if based in El Paso, TX or Titusville, FL)

Schedule: 8 on / 6 off rotation, or Monday–Friday for El Paso/Titusville residents

Home base: Live in any of 34 major U.S. airport cities – we fly you to the work

What You'll Do

• Perform line and heavy maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, servicing, and repairs on Learjet 60 aircraft
• Complete all work according to manufacturer manuals and FAA-accepted or approved data
• Follow applicable FARs, company procedures (GPM), and the FAA-approved Continuous Airworthiness Maintenance Program
• Read and interpret aircraft technical manuals and electrical drawings
• Move aircraft in the hangar and on the ramp, including tow-tractor operation
• Join weekly maintenance meetings to review project progress and resolve phase inspection, service, and repair issues with the Director of Maintenance
• Keep a clean, safe, and organized work area

Expect 10–12 hour days in a fast-paced environment.
