The Aviation Institute of Maintenance (AIM)—the largest aviation maintenance training school in the U.S.—is seeking experienced Aircraft Maintenance Technicians to join our team as instructors in Charlotte, NC. If you have hands-on aircraft maintenance experience and want to mentor the next generation, this is your chance to transition from the hangar to the classroom.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• FAA‑certified A&P Mechanic required.
• Minimum 3 years of aircraft maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment.
• Deliver FAA‑aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification.
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and student progress.
• Support curriculum updates and collaborate with program leadership.
• Help create a structured, engaging, and safety-focused learning environment.

About the Role

Asan AircraftMaintenance Instructor (A&P Mechanic Instructor), you will deliverFAA Part 147-alignedaviation maintenance curriculum and provide hands-on instruction to studentspreparing forcareers asaircraftmaintenance technicians (AMTs).

This role is ideal for experienced A&P mechanics,aircraftmechanics, and aviation maintenance professionals who want to combine technicalexpertisewith mentorship and training while delivering hands-on aviation maintenance instruction in classroom and active hangar environments.

Schedule Options

• Option 1: Monday - Thursday: 6:30am - 4:30pm
• Option 2: Monday - Thursday: 1:30pm - 11:30pm

Key Responsibilities

• Teach aircraft maintenance systems, procedures, and techniques in a hands-on environment
• Deliver FAA-aligned curriculum to prepare students for A&P certification
• Demonstrate practical skills used by A&P mechanics and aviation technicians
