Job summary

SNC is seeking an A&P Mechanic III to lead maintenance projects, diagnose complex issues, and mentor junior mechanics. The role requires FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification and the ability to deploy on a 60 days on / 30 days off rotation. You will ensure all work meets safety and regulatory standards.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of related experience and the ability to interpret schematics, with willingness to work extended hours and travel as needed in a DoD/Aerospace environment.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret schematics, diagrams and blueprints.
• Experience in repairing aircraft airframes and engines.
• Willingness to deploy for extended time to CONUS/OCONUS locations.

As an A&P Mechanic III, you will lead routine maintenance projects and mentor junior mechanics. You will perform complex diagnostics and repairs independently, ensuring all work adheres to high safety and regulatory standards. This position is a DEPLOY ONLY role, no relocation is needed. You will work 60 days ON then 30 days OFF on rotation basis.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3+ years of relevant experience.
• Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
• Active, current Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Airframe and Powerplant (A&P) certification with no prior FAA violations.
• Must have reliable transportation to and from work locations.
• Ability to understand and interpret applicable technical schematics, diagrams, blueprints, manuals, and/or publications.
• Advanced skills in repairing, maintaining and/or troubleshooting aircraft airframes and engines.
• Ability to deploy for an extended amount of time to various OCONUS operating locations.
• Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command requirements for deployed locations.
• Willing to deploy OCONUS on an approximate 60/30 rotation.
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required .
• Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment.
• Ability to obtain a current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally .
• A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Associate's degree in Aviation Maintenance or related field.
• Extensive experience with specific aircraft models.
• Advanced problem-solving and analytical skills.
• FAA repair station and/or Quality Assurance experience.
• Able to travel on a regular basis and/or work different shifts including overtime and weekends.
• Familiarity with Federal Acquisition Regulation/Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (FAR/DFARS).
• Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense, or US Military.
