Job summary

StandardAero Augusta is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to join our Falcon Team. You will perform inspections, heavy maintenance, repairs, and modifications on Dassault Falcon aircraft (7X, 2000, 900) to ensure peak airworthiness.

Ideal candidates hold an FAA A&P license with 5+ years in aviation maintenance, and have strong mechanical aptitude. Business aviation and MRO experience are a plus; willing to work in a team environment.

Qualifications

  • FAA A&P license and 5+ years as Aviation Maintenance Technician.
  • Experience with heavy/mid-size maintenance and service bulletins.
  • Able to read and interpret maintenance manuals and specs.
  • Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

  • Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems using hand tools and test equipment.
  • Inspect engines and components for cracks, leaks, wear, or damage.
  • Disassemble and inspect parts for wear and defects; reinstall components.
  • Repair, modify, and rebuild aircraft structures and systems.
  • Perform operational checks to verify airworthiness after maintenance.
  • Document and sign off work per FAA standards.

What you'll do:
  • Adjust, align, and calibrate aircraft systems, using hand tools, gauges, and test equipment.
  • Examine and inspect engines or other components for cracks, breaks or leaks.
  • Disassemble and inspect parts for wear, warping, or other defects.
  • Assemble and install electrical, plumbing, mechanical, hydraulic and structural components and accessories using hand tools and power tools.
  • Service and maintain aircraft systems by performing tasks, such as flushing crankcase, cleaning screens, greasing moving parts, and checking brakes.
  • Repair, replace, and rebuild aircraft structures, functional components, and parts, such as wings and fuselage, rigging and hydraulic units.
  • Read and interpret manufacturers and airline’s maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine feasibility and method of repairing or replacing malfunctioning or damaged components.
  • Run functional and operational checks to ensure airworthiness.
  • Check and repair fuel, oil, oxygen, heating, cooling and pressurization systems.
  • Utilise mechanics hand tools, precision measuring instruments, gauges and calibration test equipment.
  • Analyzes a variety of mechanical problems and determines the cause and best method of repair.
  • Test and repair engines, engine controls and accessories, propellers and controls, landing gear, hydraulic systems and servicing, and flight controls, and adjust rigging.
  • Perform repairs, scheduled maintenance, and modifications Reinstall components, perform operational checks, and execute engine runs.
  • Document and sign off work per FAA standards.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Valid FAA Airframe & Powerplant License.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience working as an Aviation Maintenance Technician.
  • Demonstrated technical ability on airframes in the areas of heavy maintenance, light maintenance, and service bulletins.
  • Experience working in Business/Corporate Aviation and/ or and MRO environment.
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
Preferred Characteristics:
  • Prior/current experience as an A&P Mechanic working on Dassault Falcon aircraft.
  • Minimum 7 years of A&P Mechanic experience.
  • OEM/specialized training or certification on Falcon aircraft.
