Job Summary:

To repair, maintain, overhaul, and troubleshoot airframes, engine systems, parts, and components. Performs 100 hour and progressive inspections as well as modification work on customer aircraft. This position requires regional travel. When not traveling, work at the designated Service Center.

Job Responsibilities:
  1. Perform diagnostic and mechanical duties on jet, turboprop, and piston aircraft, including troubleshooting malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, or adjustment of systems to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery. Requires thorough knowledge of aircraft engines, systems, and components.
  2. Inspect, correct, or replace complex aircraft assemblies, landing gear, air conditioning, pressurization, turbocharges, and optional equipment.
  3. Repair or replace engine components and accessories such as carburetors, fuel control units, fuel injection, oil and fuel pumps, starters, generators, hydraulic, and vacuum pumps.
  4. Follow FAR 43 procedures for 100 hour, annual, and progressive inspections. Perform modifications and minor upholstery or paint touch-ups.
  5. Maintain accurate reports in logs, inspection reports, and parts identification for issue and return documentation.
  6. Conduct functional checks, engine test runs, instrument tests, and alignment. Perform preventive maintenance, rigging, and throttle synchronization.
  7. Observe mechanical system operation during flights and troubleshoot in-shop repairs.
  8. Operate tools such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure and vacuum gauges, timing lights, etc., for repairs and modifications.
  9. Supervise and instruct lower classification helpers, if applicable.
  10. Obtain and maintain an Airport Security Badge if required.
Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A&P License required.
  • Minimum 3 years of varied jet, turboprop, piston, and modification experience as an A&P Mechanic.
  • Ability to use arithmetic, blueprints, and specifications; comprehensive knowledge of aircraft systems.
Additional Information:

This role offers a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 (pre-tax), subject to terms. Textron Aviation is an equal opportunity employer committed to diversity and inclusion.
