Job summary

Textron Aviation is hiring a full-time A&P Mechanic or AMT in Houston, TX to inspect, maintain, modify and repair Cessna and Beechcraft aircraft. You will perform engine and airframe maintenance and use precision tools to ensure airworthiness.

Requirements include high school diploma or GED, an active A&P license, knowledge of FAR 43 inspection procedures, and 3 years of diversified aircraft maintenance experience (10 years preferred).

Qualifications

• High school education or GED required.
• A&P License required.
• Knowledge of 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures as per FAR 43 is required.
• A minimum of 3 years experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance. Preferred 10 years of experience.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Duties: Perform a variety of mechanical tasks on various aircraft models, including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare for flight and delivery.
• Engine and Airframe Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of turbine engines, including engine run-ups. Carry out airframe system and component changes, systems checkout, and install service bulletins and kits on both airframes and engines.
• Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilize equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and various hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.
