Job summary

Textron Aviation is hiring an A&P Mechanic in Wichita. You will perform mechanical tasks across aircraft models, diagnose malfunctions, disassemble and reassemble components to prepare for flight and delivery.

Responsibilities include engine run-ups, airframe changes, and applying service bulletins and kits to both airframes and engines. Requires 3+ years of diversified aircraft maintenance experience, along with a valid A&P license and knowledge of FAR 43 inspection procedures.

Qualifications

• A&P license required.
• Knowledge of 100-hour and annual inspections per FAR 43.
• Minimum 3 years in diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification maintenance.

What you will be doing as an A & P Mechanic

Responsibilities

• Mechanical Duties: Perform a variety of mechanical tasks on various aircraft models, including diagnosing malfunctions, disassembly, rework, repair, replacement, reassembly, and adjustment of aircraft systems to prepare for flight and delivery.
• Engine and Airframe Maintenance: Perform troubleshooting, inspection, and repair of turbine engines, including engine run-ups. Carry out airframe system and component changes, systems checkout, and install service bulletins and kits on both airframes and engines.
• Use of Tools and Equipment: Utilize equipment such as tensiometers, micrometers, pressure gauges, dial gauges, vacuum gauges, timing lights, and various hand tools to repair or modify systems or assemblies.

Qualifications

• High school education, GED, or a bronze level WorkKeys certification required.
• A&P License is required.
• Knowledge of 100-hour, annual, and progressive inspection procedures as per FAR 43 is required.
• Experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance.
• A minimum of 3 years' experience with diversified jet, turboprop, piston, modification, aircraft/flight maintenance.
