Textron Aviation in Wichita, Kansas, is seeking an A&P Mechanic A for 6th shift to inspect, repair, and maintain a variety of aircraft systems, ensuring airworthiness and FAA compliance. The role includes diagnosing issues, performing tests, and implementing modifications in a customer-focused service center.

You’ll contribute to 100-hour and annual inspections per FAR 43, mentor junior mechanics, and participate in preventive maintenance to keep aircraft in peak condition.

Qualifications

• High school diploma, equivalent certificate, or WorkKeys Bronze certification.
• FAA Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) license.
• Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance experience, including jet, turboprop, and piston aircraft.
• Knowledge of FAR 43 inspection procedures and experience performing 100-hour and annual inspections.
• Preferred: Experience in a customer service facility performing inspections and repairs.

Responsibilities

• Inspect, diagnose, and repair aircraft systems to ensure airworthiness.
• Perform functional tests and ensure FAA compliance.
• Execute 100-hour and annual inspections per FAR 43 and maintenance plans.
• Carry out modifications and preventive maintenance for peak aircraft condition.
• Document logs, inspection reports, and parts documentation per FAA standards.
• Coach and mentor lower-grade mechanics during troubleshooting and checks.
