Job summary

Textron Aviation in Kansas seeks an Aircraft Mechanic B-573 (M-Th Weekday Evenings 6th Shift) to assist A&P mechanics with repair, maintenance, and troubleshooting of airframes, engines, and sheet metal components.

A high school diploma is required; a preferred Airframe or Powerplant license and at least three years of relevant experience. Strong blueprint reading and safety practices are essential. The role offers growth opportunities within a leading aviation team in Wichita.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; blueprint reading and basic math skills.
• A&P license preferred; strong aviation maintenance background.
• Three years of experience in aircraft inspection, repair, or modification.

Responsibilities

• Assist with a variety of mechanical duties on multiple aircraft models, including diagnosis, disassembly, repair, replacement, reassembly or adjustment to prepare aircraft for flight and delivery.
• Assist with turbine engine troubleshooting, inspection, repair, and engine run-ups.
• Ensure safety practices are followed for tooling, jigs, and fixtures used in sheet metal repairs.
• Lay out sheet metal parts using blueprints and drawings.
• Rivet and sheet metal component removal; perform modification and service work.
• Support with complex assemblies and engine-related repairs and tests.
