Job summary

Speer Aviation LLC is seeking a skilled A&P Mechanic to join our Live Oak, FL team. You will inspect, diagnose, and repair aircraft airframes and powerplants to keep aircraft safe and airworthy.

Strong attention to detail and solid knowledge of FAA regulations are required, with the ability to read schematics and engineering orders. Independent work and teamwork are both essential, and owning your own tools is preferred.

Qualifications

• FAA A&P certificate is required.
• Experience in aircraft maintenance, inspection, or repair preferred.
• Knowledge of FAA regulations, ADs, and maintenance manuals.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics and engineering orders.
• Strong attention to detail and safety mindset.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and non-routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on aircraft airframes and powerplants.
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and avionics issues and implement effective solutions.
• Complete scheduled maintenance in accordance with FAA regulations and manufacturer specifications.
• Maintain accurate and thorough maintenance logs, records, and documentation.
• Troubleshoot engine, hydraulic, fuel, and landing gear systems.
• Ensure all work complies with FAA regulations and company safety standards.
• Collaborate with team members and communicate aircraft status to supervisors and pilots.

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to safety and quality
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Must be located in or willing to commute to Live Oak, FL
• Have your own tools
