Job summary

Axxeum, Inc. is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic for helicopter maintenance in a Part 145 and Part 135 environment. The role focuses on MD, Bell and Leonardo Augusta platforms, with duties spanning inspections, repairs, troubleshooting and documentation.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years of rotor-wing experience, an A&P certificate, and strong knowledge of FAA regulations. Applicants may travel internationally and must pass background and drug screening.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years in rotary wing maintenance (civil or military).
• A&P certificate with A&P ratings required.
• Experience returning aircraft to service IAW part 43 using OEM logbooks or maintenance software.
• MD 500 experience highly desired; IA a plus.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and repair aircraft, components and systems per FAA regulations and OEM manuals.
• Guide lower-level technicians in repair and inspection techniques.
• Prepare evaluations and reports on maintenance activities.
• Troubleshoot aircraft systems including avionics, hydraulics and propulsion.

Job description

Title: A&P Mechanic - Helicopter Position Status: Full-Time

Work Schedule: Regular hours are Monday - Friday between the hours of 7:30am - 4:00 pm. Employees may need to adjust work hours during surge situations.

Brief Job Description:

The A&P Mechanic performs inspections, maintenance, repairs and or alterations in a Part 145 and Part 135 setting. The responsibilities encompass a wide range of tasks related to aircraft maintenance, of medium lift and observation helicopters, with a focus on MD, Bell, and Leonardo, Augusta helicopters.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspects and repairs aircraft, components, and systems per FAA regulations, OEM manuals, and Axxeum's Part 145 RSQCM.
• Provides lower-level technicians guidance in aircraft repair and technical inspection techniques and procedures, according to directives, technical manuals, work standards, and operational policies.
• Prepares evaluations, special reports, and records pertaining to aircraft maintenance repair and related activities.
• Troubleshoots malfunctions in aircraft systems and subsystems including but not limited to instrumentation, avionics, landing gear, flight surfaces and controls, anti-icing, hydraulics, engines, auxiliary power unit, ventilation, and heating systems.
• Update and maintain maintenance manuals, service bulletins, parts books, regulatory updates, and other technical directives.
• Assist in coordinating, ordering, shipping, receiving of parts, supplies, tools, and warranty claims parts.
• Clean and maintain interior and exterior of aircraft.
• Assist in coordination of aircraft maintenance schedules.
• Maintain upkeep of work area, materials, and tools.
• Prepare and maintain documentation related to work activities in accordance with regulations and policy.
• Ensure all maintenance is accomplished and documented correctly IAW FAA regulations.
• Regularly utilizes hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment.
• Work may require international travel.
• Performs other tasks as needed.

Education, Experience and Qualifications:

• Must have at least five (5) years of experience in rotary wing maintenance, civil and or military.
• Must have Aviation mechanic certificate with Airframe and Power Plant (A&P) ratings.
• Must have experience returning aircraft to service IAW part 43 using OEM logbooks or aftermarket maintenance software.
• MD 500 experience highly desired.
• Inspection Authorization is a plus.
• At least one (1) year of experience working in a part 145 Repair Station.
• Avionics installation and troubleshooting experience including autopilots, GPS, Radios, and communication equipment desired.
• Experience performing with 411 and 91.413 inspections desired.
• Should have High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical or Military School is desired.
• Must be capable of passing a drug screen and is subject to random drug tests under Axxeum's Air Carrier and Air Agency Certificate.
• Must have working knowledge of aviation publications including electronic manuals, drawings, blueprints, diagrams, and schematics.
• May be asked to perform Hazardous Flight duties as crewmember/non-crewmember/crew chief.
• Must demonstrate positive, polite, and professional behavior always when dealing with co- workers, customers, and all levels of management.
• Must have the ability to communicate using clear, concise, and accurate English; both verbal and written are required.

Physical Requirements:

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility to include but not limited to bending, reaching, climbing, turning, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. Walking moderate to long distances may be required. Must be able to lift/carry/push/pull/move items frequently over 20 pounds. Occasionally required to lift/carry/push/pull/move heavy objects up to 50 pounds.

Work Environment:

The environmental characteristic for this position is an aircraft hangar, warehouse setting, office setting and/or outdoors. Candidates should be able to adapt to environments listed. There may be momentary exposure to high noises, exposure to chemicals and cleaning agents, and Personal Protection Equipment may be required for certain tasks. This position requires being able to work comfortably outdoors and may be exposed to hot/cold, wet/humid, and dry/arid conditions.
