Job summary

Dynamic Aviation, based at PAX River, Maryland, is seeking an experienced A&P Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and overhaul aircraft and related systems. The role requires precise maintenance, compliance with regulations, and teamwork with engineers and pilots.

Full-time position with an hourly pay structure, Monday–Friday 7AM–4PM, comprehensive benefits, and opportunities to work on diverse aircraft and mission-critical projects. DOT/FAA medical and FAA A&P license are required.

Qualifications

  • FAA A&P license is required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
  • Ability to pass a DOT/FAA medical evaluation.
  • Ability to pass site location and aircraft-specific training.
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.
  • Ability to collaborate with A&P mechanics, inspectors, pilots, and engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance in a high-quality and efficient manner.
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair aircraft using technical data and manuals.
  • Complete required paperwork to comply with Federal Regulations and company policy.
  • Maintain shop cleanliness and organize work areas.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report unsafe conditions.
  • Troubleshoot systems to provide effective solutions.
  • Perform engine, propeller, flight control, and landing gear rigging and checks.
  • Read and interpret maintenance manuals, wiring diagrams, and service bulletins.
  • Assist in training new A&P mechanics.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform scheduled and un-scheduled, routine and non-routine maintenance in a high-quality and efficient manner
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, and make repairs utilizing applicable technical specifications/data, engineering instructions, or maintenance manuals
  • Properly complete required paperwork to comply with Federal Regulations and applicable company policy/procedures
  • Maintain organization and cleanliness of shop floor/work environment
  • Maintain a safe work environment and report any unsafe conditions
  • Troubleshoot systems to provide an effective solution
  • Perform corrosion inspections and related treatment in accordance with applicable data
  • Submit daily, weekly, or monthly reports as required
  • Maintain communication with assigned manager for task updates and status reports
  • Perform engine, propeller, flight control, and landing gear rigging
  • Perform operational/functional checks on aircraft systems and equipment
  • Operate equipment to test, diagnose, locate, and repair deficiencies
  • Adjust, repair, or replace malfunctioning components
  • Read and interpret technical data including original equipment manufacturer maintenance manuals, illustrated part catalogs, wiring diagrams, structural repair manuals, service bulletins, etc. to direct maintenance repairs
  • Properly utilize parts tag instructions in accordance with company procedures
  • Assist in the training and guidance of new A&P Mechanics
  • Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
  • FAA A&P license
  • High school education required; some college preferred
  • Ability to pass a DOT/FAA medical
  • Ability to pass site location training and aircraft specific training
  • Ability to work independently
  • Ability to work in a collaborative environment with A&P Mechanics, Inspectors, Pilots, and Engineers to maintain and modify aircraft
Preferred Qualifications
  • 3-5 years of equivalent military, trade school, or aircraft structures experience
  • King Air 350 experience preferred
  • Experience working in an AS9100, ISO 9001, DCMA and FAA Part 145 environment
Additional Requirements
  • Ability to obtain a passport
  • Ability to: lift, balance, and carry 50 lbs, crawl in and out of tight spaces, and predominantly work in enclosed hangars, occasionally in exterior weather conditions or elevated heights
Working Conditions
  • Ability to travel away from home base for up to 30 days at a time
