Job summary

STS Technical Services is seeking an experienced A&P Floor Inspector for an afternoon-shift contract role in Waterford, Michigan. The position involves independent return-to-service work within a fast-paced corporate aviation environment, with guidance provided on hangar floor activities and adherence to FAA and company standards.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years of aircraft maintenance and inspection experience, holds an FAA A&P licence with IA preferred, and can work with minimal supervision

Qualifications

• Minimum 10 years of aircraft maintenance experience.
• Previous inspection experience on corporate aircraft.
• Experience with turbine-powered aircraft and FAA Part 145 operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process and final inspections on corporate aircraft maintenance activities.
• Ensure maintenance work complies with FAA regulations and procedures.
• Review maintenance documentation for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide technical guidance to on-floor maintenance technicians.
• Inspect airframe, engine and aircraft systems for airworthiness.
• Assist with troubleshooting and resolving maintenance discrepancies.
• Verify logbook entries and return-to-service documentation.
• Coordinate with Quality, Production and Maintenance teams to ensure workflow.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
• Support aircraft on road trips or offsite maintenance events when required.
