Qualifications

  • Part 135 operations familiarity preferred.
  • IA and/or FCC License a plus.
  • Strong troubleshooting across electrical, hydraulic and mechanical systems.
  • Ability to work independently with strict safety procedures.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills.
  • Customer-focused attitude and service excellence.

  • Collaborate with OEMs, pilots, inspectors, and technicians to maintain compliance.
  • Support flexible shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership.

STS Technical Services is hiring experienced A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanics in Waterford, Michigan. Position Summary:

As an A&P Aircraft Maintenance Mechanic, you’ll play a hands-on role in the day-to-day maintenance operations for a premier aviation services provider. Responsibilities:
  • Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on turbine-powered aircraft in compliance with FAA regulations and company standards
  • Inspect, troubleshoot, test, and repair aircraft airframes and engines
  • Interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and blueprints to diagnose and repair discrepancies
  • Use precision instruments to assess wear and execute component replacements as needed
  • Document all work performed using approved maintenance records and procedures
  • Collaborate with OEMs, pilots, inspectors, and fellow technicians to maintain aircraft compliance
  • Support flexible work shifts, including weekends, nights, and holidays as required
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 1-2 years of recent A&P experience; turbine-powered aircraft strongly preferred
  • Experience working in an FAA-certified Part 145 repair station (required)
  • Familiarity with Part 135 operations (preferred)
  • Inspection Authorization (IA) and/or FCC License are a plus
  • Strong troubleshooting skills across electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
  • Ability to work independently while ensuring strict adherence to safety procedures
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills
  • Customer-focused attitude and a commitment to service excellence
