Job summary

Bombardier Transportation GmbH in Fort Wayne is seeking an aircraft maintenance technician to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain customer aircraft. You will inspect, install, and document work per manuals, with duties including using ground support equipment and assisting with engine removal.

The role requires at least 2 years of related experience, the ability to read engineering drawings, and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Typically, a minimum of 2 years aircraft maintenance experience or substantiated equivalent experience.
• Ability to interpret and work with mechanical engineering drawings.
• Ability to effectively communicate in both written and verbal form on individual and aircraft status.
• Own basic set of hand tools and demonstrate inventory/control of tools.
• Must obtain appropriate Ground Support Equipment qualifications as required.
• Ability to work unscheduled overtime and in seasonal weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, repair, install, inspect and perform maintenance on customer aircraft.
• Perform and document work performed per manuals and regulations.
• Operate ground support equipment as required.
• Perform mechanical and electrical removals and installations.
• Assist with maintenance at off-site locations and with fuel/defuel of aircraft.
• Assist with engine removal/installation and aircraft component repair.
• May assist in creation of service orders with SAP or applicable systems.
