Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Newton is seeking an experienced A-Level Automotive Technician to join our Service Department in Newton, NJ. The role requires diagnosing and repairing complex issues with a focus on Mercedes-Benz standards and customer satisfaction.

Ideal candidates have extensive diagnostic experience, Mercedes-Benz certifications, and the ability to work efficiently in a busy dealership environment. Prior Mercedes-Benz dealership experience is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• Extensive automotive repair and diagnostic experience.
• A-Level or Master Technician experience preferred.
• Mercedes-Benz dealership experience strongly preferred.
• Mercedes-Benz certifications are a major plus.
• Strong diagnostic and electrical troubleshooting skills.
• Ability to perform major mechanical repairs independently.
• Experience reading wiring diagrams and tech service information.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and drivability concerns.
• Perform advanced diagnostics using manufacturer-approved equipment and procedures.
• Complete engine, transmission, suspension, steering, brake, electrical, and other major repairs.
• Perform scheduled maintenance and Mercedes-Benz recommended services.
• Identify additional needed repairs and maintenance.
• Complete repairs correctly and efficiently to high quality standards.
• Document diagnostic findings and repairs on repair orders.
• Communicate with Service Advisors and Service Management about diagnosis and repair status.
• Perform road tests to verify customer concerns and repairs.
