Job summary

CompHealth is seeking a skilled pathologist in Kentucky to join a three-pathologist practice, handling GI, GYN, skin, breast and lung biopsies along with non-GYN cytology such as pleural fluids, FNAs, EBUS, and BALs. The role includes 60-70 cases per day, with hospital privileges required and weeknight call.

The team supports remote pathology collaboration and streamlined credentialing, housing, and malpractice coverage.

Qualifications

• Must hold medical licensure and hospital privileges.
• Secure in handling GI, GYN, skin, breast and lung biopsies and major resections.
• Experience with non-GYN cytology including pleural fluids, FNAs, EBUS, BALs.

Responsibilities

• Interpret surgical and cytology specimens in a high-volume setting.
• Collaborate with a three-pathologist team to ensure accurate diagnoses.
• Maintain credentialing and privileging processes with the hospital.
• Participate in weeknight call and continuous quality improvement.

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 4 pm -- weeknight call required
• 60 - 70 cases per day -- surgical and non-gyn cytology
• Vacation coverage for 2026 and 2027
• Cases shared with remote pathology team support
• GI, GYN, skin, breast, lung biopsies and major resections required
• Non-GYN cytology -- pleural fluids, FNAs, EBUS, BALs, and more
• Practice supported by three pathologists -- approx. 16,000 cases annually
• Hospital privileges required
