CompHealth is seeking a general surgeon for locum tenens coverage in Hazard, Kentucky. Shift starts 7am with multiple holiday and extended coverage blocks; you will work in an inpatient hospital setting, with 10-15 beds in the department and support from two NPs.

Procedures include hernia, colorectal, bariatric, scopes, appendix, and gallbladder; additional skills such as bowel resection, emergency general surgery, I&D, and wound care.

• High call volume required
• Procedures: hernia, colorectal, bariatric, scopes, appendix, gallbladder
• Additional skills: bowel resection, emergency general surgery, I&D, wound care
• Hospital privileges required
• We negotiate better pay and deposit it weekly
