CompHealth is seeking a psychiatrist for a weekday, 8 am–5 pm shift in a psychiatric facility in Sandy Springs, GA. The role covers a wide age range with treatment including ECT, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy.

Involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraints may be encountered and require familiarity. No hospital privileges required and weekly housing/travel arrangements are provided.

Responsabilités

• Provide psychiatric care in acute, sub-acute and long-term facility settings across varied age groups.
• Administer and supervise pharmacotherapy and electroconvulsive therapy as indicated.
• Coordinate group and family therapy sessions as part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
• Manage involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraint as required by policy and regulation.
• Maintain high-quality patient care with no on-call responsibilities during the assignment.

• Monday - Friday, 8 am - 5 pm (9hr shift) -- no call responsibilities
• 14 - 16 patients per shift -- follow-up to new eval ratio of 10:1
• Acute, sub-acute, and long-term psychiatric facility setting
• Wide age range -- pre-adolescent to geriatric populations
• Anxiety, affective, psychotic, personality, and eating disorders treated
• ECT, pharmacotherapy, group therapy, and family therapy required
• Familiarity with involuntary commitments, seclusion, and restraint required
• No hospital privileges required
