Job summary

Weatherby Healthcare is seeking a general surgery locum tenens physician for 7–14 days per month with call coverage. You will evaluate and stabilize complex presentations, manage bariatric post-op cases in the ED, and coordinate transfers as needed.

Hospital privileges are required or eligible. Weatherby offers paid malpractice, pre-paid travel and housing, and 24-hour access to a Weatherby consultant for support.

Qualifications

• Board-certified or eligible physician for general surgery.
• Must be comfortable managing bariatric post-op cases in the ED.
• Experience with evaluating, stabilizing, and facilitating transfer of complex presentations.

• Provide call coverage as assigned (7–14 days per month).
• Collaborate with facilities and Weatherby for patient care continuity.
