AEVEX Corp. in Florida seeks a Director of Finance, Cost and Inventory to lead cost accounting and inventory management across manufacturing operations, ensuring end-to-end accuracy and robust product costing.

As the functional SME for Infor LN, you will drive standard costing, variances, and compliance with government contracting standards.

This leadership role emphasizes building a strong team and delivering actionable insights to improve profitability and regulatory adherence.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree mandatory in Accounting, Finance, or Supply Chain Management.
• CPA, CMA, or CPIM highly preferred.
• 10+ years in cost and inventory accounting.
• 5+ years in a management/leadership role.
• Aerospace & Defense manufacturing background preferred (government contracting is a plus).
• Hands-on experience with Infor LN (Procurement, Inventory, Manufacturing, Financial modules).

Responsibilities

• Lead cost accounting and inventory valuation across close cycles.
• Oversee standard costing, job-costing, and rates development for labor/overhead.
• Perform profitability, variance, and margin analyses by product line, contract, and business unit.
• Ensure compliance with DCAA, FAR, DFARS, and ITAR as applicable to the industry.
• Build and mentor a team of cost accountants and inventory specialists.
• Establish KPIs for inventory accuracy and COGS; enforce internal controls (SOX).
• Support audit processes and continuous system improvements.
