Job summary

Ensign-Bickford Aerospace & Defense (EBAD) in Graham, KY seeks a Buyer to support indirect spend and production programs. You will manage supplier RFQs, POs, and Kanbans, source alternatives, and ensure on-time delivery while complying with FAR/DFARS requirements.

The role requires a BA/BS in a relevant field and 2+ years of tactical purchasing experience, ideally in aerospace/defense. Travel is 0–10% as needed.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Finance, Business or related degree required.
• 2+ years of tactical purchasing experience in aerospace/defense desirable.
• Experience with supplier RFQs, POs, and lead times.
• Knowledge of FAR/DFARS and government procurement docs.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• Purchase direct supplier items and manage indirect spend.
• Source alternative suppliers and ensure on-time delivery.
• Create and manage RFQs, POs, and Kanbans; manage supplier performance.
• Conduct supplier assessments, risk evaluation, and negotiations.
• Collaborate with engineers on proposals and development programs.
• Ensure regulatory compliance for purchasing, storage, and transport.
