Job summary

Henricksen & Co, a full-service contract furniture dealership, seeks an A+D Business Development Manager in Chicago. The role focuses on building relationships within the Architecture + Design community, driving specifications, and guiding projects from concept to installation.

You will collaborate with internal sales, marketing, and client support to convert opportunities into revenue and deliver exceptional designer and client experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience and 3+ years in A+D account management or related roles.
• Knowledge of construction documents; ability to read drawings, details, and finish schedules.
• Proven thought leadership and networking with presentations and industry communities.
• Exceptional presentation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Strong customer service, team, and relationship orientation.
• Self-motivated and self-directed learner; able to influence with authenticity.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

• A+D engagement: build and maintain relationships with priority A+D firms to drive specifications and opportunities.
• Plan and execute events and initiatives to generate qualified leads and strengthen market position.
• Partner with sales to transition leads into opportunities and close wins.
• Serve as primary contact for key A+D firms and align internal resources to capture opportunities.
• Elevate brand visibility through industry involvement, thought leadership, and partnerships.
• Collaborate across teams to support goals, embody Core Values, and ensure quality project outcomes.
