Job summary

Inteplast Group seeks an Extrusion Technician C to pack safely and efficiently while maintaining high quality at our Lewistown, PA facility.

You will train on multiple machines, perform basic math, read tape measures, operate hand tools, and enter data in the IBS Production System. Overtime and strong attendance are required; forklift certification is preferred. Safety is emphasized with PPE and strict plant rules in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Good oral and written communication skills.

• Must have mechanical aptitude.
• Available to train on different machinery and different lines.
• Forklift Operator Certification.
• Demonstrate dependable attendance and willingness for non-standard hours.
• Capable of managing job-related stress and productive workplace interactions.

Responsibilities

• Safety: comply with all plant safety rules and wear PPE as required.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Learn how to lace-up equipment.
• Learn and perform future tasks and continuous improvement during training.
• Name and use standard hand tools.
• Perform basic math including percentages.
• Read a tape measure to 1/16" accuracy.
• Identify machine E-stops and how to activate them.
• Data entry in the IBS Production System daily.

• Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary.
• Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering productive workplace interactions

Job Responsibilities

• Safety, must comply with all written and verbal safety rules that apply for the plant and department. Must be willing and able to wear all personal protective equipment.
• Maintain good housekeeping.
• Must show the ability to learn how to lace-up equipment.
• Must show the ability to learn all future tasks of the job, and show continuous improvement throughout training process.
• Must be able to name and use standard hand tools.
• Must show the ability to do basic math such as adding, dividing, subtraction, percentages, etc.
• Must be able to read a tape measure down to 1/16"
• Must be able to locate all E-stops on the machine in which they are being trained on, and must know how to activate the E-stops.
• Must be able to perform all daily task of data entry in the IBS Production System.

Work Environment Conditions Subjected To In This Position

• Subject to extreme heat, temperatures above 100 degrees for periods of more than one hour
