Job summary

Brainerd Public Schools is seeking a 9th Grade Lead Baseball Coach - Sr. High to lead practices, mentor assistant coaches, and develop high school athletes. You will implement game strategies and ensure safety and fair play across the district-wide program.

The role reports to the Activities Director, is non-exempt and paid per certified contract on an extracurricular schedule, with responsibilities across the district's athletics program and community partnerships.

Qualifications

• High school degree, GED, or equivalent.
• Ability to work effectively with parents, students, and other staff.
• Previous coaching experience preferred
• Willingness to accept and follow direction.
• Ability to work independently with minimum supervision.
• General office skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Facilitates successful practices and attends meets.
• Provide leadership and guidance to staff in support of the Head Coach.
• Encourage student participation and establish rapport.
• Motivate participants/athletes to achieve maximum potential.
• Work collaboratively with Head Coach, Activities Director, families and community resources.
• Maintains compliance with all rules and regulations.
• Complies with and supports all school district regulations and policies.
• Other duties as determined by the Head Coach.
