Join the Army National Guard as a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer, where you'll ensure essential power for military operations. This role includes training in generator operations and electrical systems, with paid training and valuable skills development for a civilian career.
Since the Army National Guard uses a variety of electronic systems, power is essential to success. As a Power-Generation Equipment Repairer, you'll provide the power needed for various Army activities, anytime and anywhere.
In this role, you'll support military operations day or night by performing preventive maintenance on generation equipment, replacing components like voltage regulators, governors, or circuit cards, and adjusting frequencies and voltages using technical publications to improve equipment efficiency.
Through training, you'll develop skills for a civilian career as a power plant electrician.

Training includes 10 weeks of Basic Training to learn basic Soldiering skills, followed by approximately 12 weeks of Advanced Individual Training, focusing on electrical power systems. Training combines classroom instruction and field practice.
