Weber County is seeking a full-time Emergency Dispatcher for the Weber Area Dispatch center. You will dispatch police, fire, and EMS, operate CAD and radio systems, and gather essential information from callers while maintaining confidentiality.
The role requires completion of the Dispatcher Trainee program and current certifications in PS, EMS, UCJIS, and CPR. Irregular hours, including nights and weekends, are typical for this position.

Performs a variety of working level technical duties involving the use of communications equipment to gather and record necessary information, and to dispatch police, fire and emergency personnel in response to emergency and assistance calls for service.
Works under the general supervision of the Shift Supervisor.

This is a full-time position with irregular work hours and schedules, including daytime and nighttime hours, weekends, and holidays. Adjustment of work hours, adjustment or cancellation of breaks or time off, and working overtime may be required on short notice.
Use of communications and computer equipment including radio equipment, headsets, consoles, telephone systems including 911 specific features, paging systems, logging recorder, TDD/TDY device, FAX, computers, printers, copy machine, computer hardware, and general and industry-specific computer programs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit or stand for extended periods of time, reach with arms and use hands and fingers to handle equipment and controls, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
