Job summary

Cayuga County is seeking a full-time Deputy 911 Administrator for its 911 Call Center. The role supports the E-911 Administrator in daily operations and staff oversight, ensuring efficient emergency communications and compliance with applicable regulations.

Strong leadership and organizational skills are essential to manage shift coverage and incident response. Responsibilities include supervising and training staff, budgeting and program planning, and troubleshooting technical problems.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two years of public safety managerial or administrative experience, including budgeting and supervision.
• Associate degree with four years of experience, including supervisory duties.
• High school diploma with six years of experience and supervisory duties.
• Volunteer experience accepted to meet criteria on a prorated basis.

Responsibilities

• Assist the E-911 Administrator in day-to-day operations of the 911 Center.
• Supervise and train staff; oversee operations and performance.
• Troubleshoot technical problems and coordinate with local public safety organizations for CAD implementation.
