Perry County is seeking Telecommunicators and Telecommunicator Trainees for the 911 Center. This is a Full Time opportunity with a twelve-hour schedule and multiple positions available.

Starting compensation is $17.87/hour, with a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, and vision insurance after a 90-day probationary period, plus a county retirement plan and generous time off.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Completion of the requirements of a 911 telecommunicator trainee.

Responsibilities

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls.
• Dispatch emergency response personnel.
• Perform Pennsylvania ERP reporting and disseminate weather watches and warnings.
• Enter, update, and retrieve information using a CAD system; perform CLEAN/NCIC checks.

Perry County is accepting applications for Full Time Telecommunicators and Telecommunicator Trainees in the 911 Center.

Primary duties include of a Telecommunicator include:

• Answer emergency and non-emergency calls
• Dispatch emergency response personnel
• Perform Pennsylvania Emergency Incident Reporting System reporting and disseminating weather watches and warnings
• Enter, update, and retrieve information using a computer-aided dispatch system Utilize CLEAN and NCIC to perform checks

Successful candidate must possess:

• High school diploma/GED
• Complete the requirements of a 911 telecommunicator trainee

Telecommunicator compensation includes a starting salary of $17.87/hour.
