Job summary

Santa Fe College in Florida is seeking a nine-month Assistant Professor to lead the Surgical Technology program, teaching anatomy, pharmacology, surgical procedures, aseptic technique, medical terminology, and clinical practicum.

Position is primarily at the Northwest Campus with potential assignments across six locations. Teaching 15 credit hours each semester in Fall and Spring; summer opportunities possible for extra compensation.

Qualifications

• Faculty must demonstrate credential(s)/certification(s) in surgical technology and relevant education.
• Graduate of an education program in surgical technology accredited by a recognized agency.
• Minimum of two years of OR scrub or instructional experience in surgical technology within the past five years.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize, and deliver instruction across didactic, laboratory, and classroom settings.
• Collaborate with chair and peers to develop curriculums and assess student outcomes.
• Maintain records of attendance, grades, and learning outcomes.
• Provide timely feedback and constructive assessment to students.
• Support college mission and departmental initiatives and participate in meetings.
