University of Colorado Boulder Athletics Department seeks a Temporary Academic Assistant to provide intensive academic support to student-athletes in a professional, collaborative environment.

This 9-month, in-person position at the Herbst Academic Center focuses on promoting academic integrity and meeting the needs of student-athletes while adhering to NCAA, Big 12, and University policies. The role is based in Boulder, CO, with a starting rate of $18.90 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required or combination of education and experience.
• Experience teaching, tutoring, counseling, or providing academic support to students.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Provides intensive academic support and assistance for assigned student-athletes in a small group or one-on-one setting.
• Teaches executive skills such as goal setting, time management, note-taking and study skills.
• Composes detailed reports after each session using the reporting system and notifies HAC staff of urgent issues.
• Maintains a conducive study hall environment and ensures students work on required objectives.
• This position is 100% in-person and student-facing.
