Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or ADN with active BSN enrollment and Virginia RN licensure.
- Minimum of two years of direct patient care as an RN.
- Experience with simulation instruction and electronic health record systems.
- Ability to teach students effectively and ensure a safe learning environment.
- Commitment to the community college mission and serving a diverse student population.
- Ability to use creativity, innovation, and compassion to instruct and engage students.
Responsibilities
- Teach nursing courses and conduct clinical and simulation instruction.
- Facilitate a teaching demonstration as part of the interview process.
- Provide didactic and lab instruction, ensuring safety and quality care.
- Support student learning and assessment across the lifespan.
