Job summary

Savvas Learning Company is seeking an onsite Per Diem Educational Consultant for 9-12 Math to drive district and school initiatives by delivering core content, interventions, and embedded professional development with Savvas products and methods. Qualified candidates will have 5+ years of 9-12 Math teaching experience, coaching ability, and strong presentation and communication skills.

Qualifications

• B.A. or B.S. degree required; M.A. preferred.
• Experience offering workshops/coaching to teachers.
• Experience with classroom-based technology integration.
• Experience with differentiated instruction.
• Demonstrated success as a classroom teacher and at least five years of successful experience as a 9-12 professional in the Math content area.
• Strong collaboration and team building skills.
• Knowledge of standards-based reform, curriculum, instruction, and assessment.
• Ability to plan strategically with and coach school leaders and classroom teachers.
• Ability to provide instructional support relating to effective teaching strategies for teachers across content areas using instructional technology.
• Strong problem-solving skills.
• Excellent ability to present content to large and small groups (effective presentation skills).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement classroom components and resources in the program, differentiate instruction, and manage Savvas curriculum classroom and device use.
• Provide job-embedded coaching and modeling to teachers.
• Observe practices post-professional development and provide actionable feedback.
• Utilize data dashboards to guide instruction and decision making.
• Support administrators by applying Savvas program tools and observing instructional strategies.
• Coach school leaders and classroom teachers through on-site training and ongoing communication.
