Job summary

ASU Preparatory Academy (ASU Prep) seeks a Learning Facilitator to oversee online academic work in a digital lab and to liaise between the digital teacher and students. You will supervise attendance and behavior, and help students stay on pace across online courses.

You will run data reports, assist with tutoring, host conferences, and coordinate access to instructors and exams. Strong tech skills, Canvas LMS experience, and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED and an Associate’s Degree or higher, or 60 college credits, or ADE ParaPro/ACT Workkeys.
• One year or more of experience working with students, preferred.
• Active DPS IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card.
• Any equivalent combination of education and/or experience.

Responsibilities

• Completes online Learning Facilitator training.
• Run data reports and analyze data.
• Be an advocate for student success in the online working environment.
• Serve as communication liaison to partnership support staff.
• Take daily attendance.
• Supervises students during lunch, on the playground, etc.
• Monitor students to stay on pace with online courses.
• Conference with students weekly to review goals and progress.
• Conduct tutoring sessions, guided by the Digital teacher.
• Host conferences onsite or virtually with the Digital teacher.
• Facilitate student communication with their virtual teachers.
• Understand school partner processes and policies.
• Be open to feedback from leadership and support teams.
• Instruct students in using virtual lessons, help sessions, exam prep, and content discussions.
• Coordinate access to professors/TAs for assignments, and tutoring services.
