The teacher facilitates learning for ResponsiveEd students, collaborates with parents, and upholds virtue and rigorous academic standards in a class of 20–27 students using traditional instructional methods. This role emphasizes assessment, communication, and professional development.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed education/certification options.
• Experience teaching in a classical school preferred.
• Passion for and knowledge of classical education, and ability to teach virtue.

Responsibilities

• Prepare effective lessons using classical teaching methods.
• Assign and correct classwork and homework timely.
• Administer formative and summative assessments and report progress to parents.
• Provide academic interventions for struggling students.
• Maintain student grades and parent communication via the school system.
• Foster a conducive, disciplined, and engaging classroom environment.
• Collaborate with Special Education and 504 staff for accommodations.
• Participate in faculty meetings, trainings, and student recruiting activities.

Texas State Teacher’s Certification in subject to be taught

Bachelor’s degree with ExCET/TExES passing score
