Founders Classical Academy, operated by Responsive Education Solutions, seeks a dedicated teacher to guide ResponsiveEd students in a democratic classical model using Core Knowledge curriculum in classical liberal arts and sciences with a strong emphasis on civic education.

The teacher will prepare effective lessons, assess student progress, and work with parents to develop competencies for successful society.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the listed Education/Certification options.
• Experience teaching in a classical school preferred.
• Strong knowledge of instructional content and ability to teach with virtue.
• Ability to manage a class of 20-27 students and communicate with parents, students, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Prepare effective lessons using classical traditional methods.
• Assign lessons and correct work promptly.
• Administer formative and summative assessments and report progress to parents.
• Provide academic interventions for struggling students.
• Maintain student grades and parent communication via the school’s tools.
• Maintain classroom discipline and conducive learning environment.
• Collaborate with Special Education and 504 staff to ensure accommodations.
• Sponsor activities, advise students on course selection, and support student adjustment.
