Job summary

Woodland Public Schools is seeking a Long Term Substitute for 8th Grade Math at Woodland Middle School. The assignment runs from 9/11/26 to 10/28/2026, Monday through Friday, 7 hours each day.

The ideal candidate holds a Washington State teaching certificate for Elementary/Middle Education or Math, demonstrates effective classroom management, and can collaborate with staff, students, and families to maintain high learning standards and positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Possess a current Washington State teaching certificate with an Elementary/Middle Education or Math Endorsement.
• Demonstrate the ability in classroom management.
• Demonstrate successful recent experience working with students.
• Demonstrate the ability to communicate effectively.
• Successful experience working with youth.
• Successful experience working with diverse populations.
• Familiarity with a wide variety of teaching techniques used to maximize student learning.
• Ability to work cooperatively with students and parents from diverse backgrounds.

Responsibilities

• Utilize the teacher plans that teachers provide.
• Be able to accept positions with little notice.
• Be willing to work at any building and within any grade level or program as needed.
