NORTH BRANDYWINE MIDDLE SCHOOL in Coatesville, PA is seeking an 8th Grade Boys Lacrosse Coach. The position is part-time and requires after-school, early evening, and weekend availability to run practices, games, and training sessions for student-athletes.

The successful candidate will monitor academics and behavior, liaise with administrators, parents, and the community, and apply knowledge of lacrosse rules and teaching progressions. Prior playing or coaching experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Successful candidate will implement a program: practices, games and training sessions.
• Monitor student-athlete academic progress and behavior.
• Liaise between administration, student-athletes, parents and community.
• Foster a positive relationship with the coaching staff.
• Previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred.
• Knowledge of lacrosse rules, strategy, teaching progressions and fundamentals.
• Available after school, early evening and weekends; develop supervision plan for student-athletes.

Job Description

Successful candidate will implement a successful program: practices, games and training sessions; effectively monitor student-athlete academic progress and behavior; liaison between administration, student-athletes, parents and community; foster a positive relationship with the coaching staff; previous playing and/or coaching experience preferred. Applicant should have knowledge of rules, strategy, teaching progressions and fundamentals. Must be available after school, early evening and weekends, and develop an effective supervision plan for student-athletes at all times. Successful candidate will have knowledge of the rules for lacrosse and the ability to instruct students on strategies.

External Candidates must upload required clearances. This includes the Act 34 (State Criminal Clearance), Act 151 (Child Abuse) and Act 114 (FBI Clearance). All Clearances must be within 1 year.
