Job summary

Caledonia Community School District Athletics Department is seeking a Basketball Coach for 8th Grade Boys at Duncan Lake Middle School. The contract is renewable at the discretion of the Athletic Director and the coach will oversee player development, conditioning, safety and game strategies.

The position requires experience coaching at the high school level or college playing experience, with CPR/First Aid certification desirable.

Qualifications

• Requires a high school diploma or GED; Bachelor's Degree in Education preferred.
• Successful coaching experience at the high school level or college; head varsity coaching desirable.
• CPR/First Aid certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Coach and develop athletes in skills, conditioning, safety and sportsmanship.
• Assist in scheduling, transportation to events, and adherence to facility times.
• Maintain communication with players and parents, monitor academic eligibility, and track attendance and behavior.
