Qualifications

• Must hold a valid Iowa Coaching Authorization or Iowa Teaching License with Coaching Endorsement.
• Experience with competition at state level is desired.
• Complete online application including a resume and 3 letters of reference.
• Strong interpersonal skills with diverse students.

Responsibilities

• Assist with supervision of all phases of the basketball program—planning, strategy, instruction in fundamentals.
• Responsible for care and issuance of all basketball equipment used by the team.
• Communicate with high school coaching staff and attend meetings or clinics to ensure continuity in the 7-12 boy's program.
• Understand and enforce district academic standards, policies, and eligibility requirements.
• Develop players to their fullest potential from fundamentals to advanced skills.
• Promote good sportsmanship among student-athletes.
• Complete required reports and record accurately and timely.
• Adhere to the athletic policy approved by the Board of Education.
• Supervise players at practices, games, and in lockers/bus areas.
